The August summer Regatta Ready TRAINING WILL RUN FOR 3 WEEKS FROM August 4th-aUGUST 21st FROM mON-fRI 8;00-11:30 A.M. iN THIS GROUP ENVIRONMENT WITH A CERTIFIED COACH, YOUNG ATHLETES WILL TRAIN TO COMPETE IN A Virtual REGIONAL-based PROVINCIAL reGATTA at the end of August. while physically distancing in Groups of Max. 8 participants, tHEY WILL participate in A COMBINATION OF ON-LAND AND ON-WATER Training. tHIS PROGRAM IS FOR ATHLETES WHO WISH TO Improve their skills & ENDURAnce to REPRESENT slcc AT ONE COMPETITION event in the future. The program is capped at 16 this season. Registration will be closed when that number is reached.

A Fall Sprint Training paddling program will take place at SLCC on Mondays and Wednesdays for 5 weeks from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. for ages 12+( Gr. 7 up) and 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. for ages 8-11 from Sept 14 to October 19th. Coach Hannah Mackaracher, a Queen’s student from Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, and Annie Ingo, a Summer Instructor at SLCC will be leading the program. The fee is $100.
The summer Canoe kids afternoon recreational program will run for seven weeks. This is a half day program for active kids ages 8-13 who wish to develop their paddling skills and enjoy playing games and sports in the outdoors. The maximum number of participants per week is 18 divided into two groups of 8 with 2 instructors per group.

Cost 120.00 per week(100.00 for 4 day week in August)
Participants must come from the catchment area of the Kingston Frontenac Lennox Addington(KFLA) Health Unit for contact tracing reasons. They also must have had some paddling experience to reduce tipping incidents as they may result in physical contact closer than two meters.
SLCC has developed modified programs that will allow us to offer activities while still maintaining the safety of our paddlers and staff through implementing shortened no contact-based programs with reduced participation numbers and heightened site cleaning practices.
Covid 19 Notice: All adult participants & parents of participants must sign a waiver. Please note, it is understood that we are recovering from a pandemic. As a result, a second wave may occur and we may be in a position where we will need to cancel the programs. As a result, you will receive full reimbursement for the entire or partial remainder of the program fee minus the registration platform and credit card fee of $8.00. Also, for your child's safety, we reserve the right to cancel a day's program at short notice without reimbursement if there is heavy sustained rain or high winds making physical distancing difficult to be maintain in our shelters.

Sydenham Lake Canoe Club is a small not-for-profit volunteer board-run, paddling club located in Sydenham, Ontario just 15 minutes north of Kingston, Ontario. The club offers a small spring/summer/fall competitive regatta-ready skills development programs designed to train paddlers in the sport of competitive sprint canoe and kayak and an Adult recreational & competitive program. The club usually offers a recreational paddling summer day camp where the participants learn paddling skills from our experienced instructors within a multi-sport game-based program. However, this year, we will run a modified half day program, so as to be able to ensure Covid-19 regulation compliance.
THe spring-SUMMER ADULT RECREATIONAL KAYAKING & SURF SKI PROGRAM WILL BE HELD FROM june 1-August 21st ON tUES AND THURS EVENINGS & the CompetitiVe Program will be held Mon and Wed evening 6:30-8:00 pm. Paddlers must be residents of Frontenac.
